James M. Carbone joined Garb-el Products Company in 1973 as a sales manager working with a small national sales team and a limited number of independent service companies. In short time, he more than doubled Garb-el’s annual sales and increased the number of national service agencies to coincide with the needs of Garb-el’s growing customer base. In 1983, after only ten years at Garb-el, Carbone purchased both the sales and manufacturing divisions of the company. Under Carbone’s tenure as CEO, Garb-el has experienced tremendous growth and expansion. He has taken what was a great national company that primarily serviced the supermarket and restaurant industries, and evolved it into an even greater international company manufacturing that services many industries. Carbone earned his Bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University.

James is a President of Garb-el where he is responsible for planning and production, product development and overseeing day-to-day operations. Bringing more than a decade of sales and marketing experience, James is a results driven sales professional who has been instrumental in developing new business while maintaining many of Garb-el’s largest accounts. Prior to joining Garb-el in 2002, James worked at TEAM Enterprises in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he managed the Bacardi USA account. James was responsible for coordinating special events for new product launches, increasing distribution and market share in southern Florida and managing all on-premise promotions. James graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
